What Digital Dojang Pro is
Digital Dojang Pro is a monthly membership that gives you the complete Soo Bahk Do curriculum — all ten color belt ranks plus the Cho Dan, E Dan, and Sam Dan material — together with a live weekly class taught over Zoom by Brian Corrales, Sa Bom Nim, a 6th Dan instructor certified under the World Moo Duk Kwan.
It costs $149 per month, you can cancel at any time, and rank certification is available separately when you're ready to test.
Most online martial arts programs sell you a video library and disappear. Pro is built the other way around: the library is there so you know what to practice, and the live class is there so someone who has trained for thirty-five years can tell you what you're doing wrong. That combination is the whole product.
It is the only place the Dan-level curriculum is taught. Color belt material can be purchased outright as standalone courses; the black belt path is a membership, because it takes years and it needs a teacher.
EVERY WEEK
A video can't see you
This is the difference between studying martial arts and training in them. Every week you log in, warm up with the class, and work through material with an instructor watching. When your hip is late or your chamber is loose, you hear about it that night — not three months later at a test.
It's a single mixed-rank class, on purpose. Color belts see where the path goes. Dan members refine fundamentals alongside people learning them for the first time, which is where most of the refinement actually happens.
- When: Wednesdays, 7:00 pm Mountain Time
- How long: 60 minutes
-
What you need: a phone or laptop, a few feet of floor, and a dobok if you have one
The part you can't buy
The black belt path
Color belt courses are sold outright because a rank is a finite body of material. Dan training isn't. It's a multi-year relationship with an instructor, so it lives inside the membership and nowhere else.
First degree
The advanced Chil Sung and Yuk Ro are introduced at Cho Dan. Technique you already know gets rebuilt to a standard color belt testing never asked for.
Second degree
Advanced self-defense techniques and applications are introduced at E Dan. The refining process continues and you build skill in the new Soo Bahk Do system.
Third degree
Depth in hyung, theory, and the Moo Do values behind them. As a Sam Dan you begin preparing for the master-level testing, Ko Dan Ja Shim Sa.

Everything a Pro membership includes
The live weekly class
One class every week on Zoom, taught live. You train, you're seen, you get corrected by name. Miss a week and the recording is posted, but the point is to be there.
The full color belt library
Every color belt rank, streaming: Ki Cho and Pyung Ahn hyung, one-step sparring, self-defense, basics, and the terminology for each rank. Train the rank you're on, review the ones behind you.
The Dan curriculum
Cho Dan, E Dan, and Sam Dan material: advanced hyung, deeper applications, and the Moo Do theory expected of a black belt. Two to three years of training you cannot buy as a course.
Community access
Post a video of your form, ask a question about a movement, and get an answer from your instructor and from students further along the path than you.
Private lessons at $100/hour
Non-members pay $150. Book a one-on-one — in person in Salt Lake City or virtually — when you want an hour on one thing before a test.
New material as it's released
New courses, breakdowns, and training resources land in your library as they're published. Your membership doesn't freeze at the day you joined.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Can I really earn rank training online?
Yes, for color belt ranks. Gup evaluations run quarterly by video, and rank issued through Digital Dojang is certified through the US Soo Bahk Do Moo Duk Kwan Federation and the World Moo Duk Kwan — the same certification issued in a physical studio. Dan rank is different: black belt exams are evaluated in person through Federation channels. Pro prepares you for them and connects you with the nearest testing location.
Do I need Federation membership?
To train, no. To hold certified rank, yes — Federation membership is required before you test, and it's paid directly to the Federation rather than through us.
What if I've trained in another style?
Common, and welcome. Taekwondo, Shotokan, Tang Soo Do, and Okinawan karate practitioners share a great deal of technical ground with Soo Bahk Do. Where you enter the curriculum is a conversation — bring your background to the live class and we'll place you honestly rather than starting you over for the sake of it.
What happens if I cancel?
You keep access through the end of the period you've paid for, then streaming access ends. Anything you bought outright — a standalone belt course, a digital download, a book — stays yours permanently. Cancel from your account whenever you like; there's no contract and no cancellation fee.
Is there a refund?
Full refund within 14 days of your first payment if Pro isn't what you expected.
How much time does this take each week?
The live class is one session. Beyond that, most members who progress steadily train three to four times a week for thirty to sixty minutes. Consistency beats volume — short sessions you actually do will take you further than long ones you plan.
What equipment do I need?
Floor space roughly the length of your body, a device with a camera, and eventually a dobok and belt. Nothing else to start.
Is this suitable for children?
The live class is adult and teen oriented. Younger children generally do better with in-person instruction, though families do train together using the recorded curriculum. If you're local to Salt Lake City, Wasatch Martial Arts Academy runs youth classes in person.
What's the difference between Soo Bahk Do and Tang Soo Do here?
At color belt level the curriculum is effectively shared, so either background trains the same material. Soo Bahk Do is the system as it developed under Hwang Kee and continues under the World Moo Duk Kwan, and it's the track the Dan-level curriculum follows.
Can my family use one membership?
A membership is for one person, and certification is per person — each family member who tests needs their own account under their own name. Standalone belt courses are different: those carry a household license and everyone under your roof can train from them.
